Blue Bottle

Peter acted as a Staff Designer on this project with The Downtown Group/Downtown Designworks Architecture (DDA). Blue Bottle, a new startup multimedia company at the height of the dotcom boom, brought in DDA to create their corporate offices.  The space they acquired was a  tired, traditional landscape of cubicles and offices – not conducive to […]

Imaging Consortium

The Imaging Consortium, a national multimedia company, selected DDA after hosting a competition to select an architect of record for their New York 30,000 sq.ft. office and production house facility. The program included offices, conference rooms, audio and video booths, shooting stage, photo studios, digital post-production rooms, graphic design studios and printing / processing facility.

Showtime Networks Inc

Showtime Networks, the national cable TV company, needed new audio/video editing facilities as well as the reconfiguration of their existing offices, staff area and public lobby.

The space is designed in a classic, yet modern style, reflecting the client’s wishes, and a seamless blend of high-tech and warm, the project creates an inviting public area for the staff.

Engelwood Orthopedic Associates

EOA, the largest orthopedic practice in Northern New Jersey, expanded into additional space on two floors of the building.

The expansion and renovation created patient-centered spaces that highlighted their highly-regarded patient service and world renowned orthopedic surgeons.

WNET

Calling upon a history of successful projects, New York City’s famed public broadcasting station, WNET, once again came to DDA to design their facilities after a relocation including New York’s first High-Definition Video Edit Room.

Cardiology Consultants

Englewood, New Jersey based Cardiology Consultants approached DDA to design the interiors of their new 16,000 sq.ft cardiology facility including diagnostic, treatment and post surgical spaces.

The thoughtful, warm design takes patient-focused concepts to their furthest extension and provides a high-quality environment with a warm and inviting atmosphere.

Landmark Tribeca Storefront

Previously a crude and funky disco, DDA renovated the entire space, creating two retail spaces, one office space, and a portion of the space was folded into a second floor loft to create a stunning three level residence.

The scope of work included new heating and hot water systems, public hall finishes, elevator replacement, landmark window replacement, and insulated roof system, a luxurious common roof deck, and entry lobby.

Tonic

Tonic (formerly known as Cool Beans) asked DDA to design a new home in their raw space. The client’s objective: a space with cutting-edge acoustic resources that exudes the playful creativity they promise clients.

A structural theme of deep concrete beams radiates throughout the facility.  From there, a high-energy improvisation takes over, with bursts of angled and folded walls and accents of lighting. All systems (heating, ventilation, studio electronics) are precisely arranged to facilitate the hip, improvisational flow.

The Porch in Sugar Hill

Showtime I

The owners came to Bespoke Architecture with a vision of creating a community hub for entertainment, casual dining. By daytime – a neighborhood coffeehouse, by nighttime – a jumpin’ bar/restaurant and music venue.

As the space was completely raw, Bespoke’s design allowed for a full new Kitchen, Bathrooms, a Front Service Bar, a Stage, efficient utility space, ample back-of-house storage, as well as maximizing seating.
